This review will take a close look at the features and benefits of the X-Pole Sport, as well as any drawbacks that you should be aware of so that you can decide if it’s the right choice for you

So, is it worth the investment? Read on to find out!

The Features And Benefits of the X-Pole Sport

So, you’re thinking about getting a X-Pole Sport? That’s great! This starter dance pole is perfect for both beginner and intermediate dancers. Its even featured in our recommended list of best stripper poles!

Many pole dancers use it in their homes but it can be used for professional use, in fact I bet most dance studios, gyms and clubs got one of these because they are of great quality and super cheap making it very economical.

It’s safe to assume that X-pole sport is probably the younger brother of the X-pole XPERT, but still IMHO the only feature it lacks is that it can’t spin.

Below are some of its best features and the benefits you can expect:

xpole sport features

Easy to Install

The X-Pole Sport is super easy to set up. You can have it up in minutes, and there’s no drilling required and because it has a bottom tightening adjuster or “bottom loading”, you won’t need a ladder to fit it to the ceiling.

Plus there’s a detailed instructions manual along with tons of step by step instruction videos, so there’s no way anyone could mess up the installation.

It’s also really lightweight and can be separated down into pieces, and it comes with a nice carry case so you can take it with you wherever you want or store it safely.

Strong and Durable

The X-Pole Sport is made of high-quality materials, so it’s strong, durable and stable. It is strong enough for doubles training and even the trickiest moves.

One swing on this and you’ll feel how strong it is and most importantly you’ll feel safe and can focus on training rather than worrying about if it would come down crashing WITH you on it.

Fully Removable

There’s no need to drill and you don’t need to screw or bolt it. It doesn’t require any sort of fixtures in the ceiling.

This can be a great feature to tell your landlord if you are installing it in an apartment. Plus this feature reduces a lot of potential damage that could happen when installing it.

More Features

The pole features a micro-articulating base, so that it can be used on floor surfaces that are uneven.

easy to install

The pole is done so well that you can’t feel the transition between pole pieces, it’s super smooth from the top to the bottom.

It uses the new X-Joint system just like other new X-pole poles, which is a new upgrade to their previous one which was prone to having pieces stick together.

X-Pole Sport Specification

The pole is available in these finishes and the price of the pole depends on them:

  • Chrome
  • Powder Coat Black
  • Powder Coat Pink
  • Stainless Steel
  • Titanium Gold

The pole weighs around 18 pounds. It is available in two sizes, 40mm diameter and the 45mm diameter. The minimum ceiling height required for the X-pole sport is 7’4 and the maximum is 9. However there are extensions for taller ceilings.

The Pros and Cons of the X-Pole Sport

So, what are the pros and cons of the X-Pole Sport? Here’s a quick breakdown of the pros and cons and there’s a more detailed version below.

ProsCons
Super easy to installStatic pole, you can’t spin.
Amazing X-pole customer supportNeeds to retighten if up for a long time
Cheaper than others, yet very high qualityHeight adjuster screw needs to be covered
Easy to move around Kinda slippery than others
Doesn’t need any drilling, screws or bolts
Fully removable

Since we already talked a lot about its pros in the previous sections, let’s get down to the cons.

One downside is that it’s a little bit slippery at first than the usual pole at your gym, especially the chrome finish. But you’ll get used to it soon, in the meantime you could use grip aid.

Another is the fact that the X joints could come loose with time, so make sure to retighten it from time to time or you’ll be in for a nasty surprise.

Now for some PROS,

Firstly, the X-Pole Sport is incredibly sturdy and well-made. It can hold up even under extreme pressure, which is perfect for dancers who like to really go for it.

Second, it’s super affordable! And you get great customer support from the guys at X-pole. It’s also adjustable and extendable, which means that it can be customized to fit any ceiling height.

Where Can I Buy the X-Pole Sport?

I highly recommend that you buy it directly from X-pole through their website, you can do so by using the button below. OR you can buy it on Amazon or Walmart as well.

If you decide to buy from sites like ebay or craigslist, beware of fakes!

How to Assemble the X-Pole Sport

The X-Pole Sport is a great dancing pole for beginners. It’s easy to assemble and it’s really sturdy, which is great for those who are just starting out. Check out this excellent video on how to assemble it

Conclusion

The X-Pole Sport is a great dancing pole for anyone looking for an affordable option that is still high-quality. It is easy to install and even easier to use and it’s very durable. I highly recommend the X-Pole Sport for beginners who are just starting out.

However I don’t think it’s the best choice for intermediate and expert dancers because it’s not a spinning pole which will significantly lower the number of moves you can do on it, save up a bit more and you could purchase the X-PERT!

Overall, the X-Pole Sport is a great choice for dancers who are looking for a high-quality pole that will last for years. Hope you found this review helpful. It would be amazing if you could give it a share and I’d love to know what you think so please leave a comment below!
